I feel like I've been bad at updating lately. Oh well, life goes on! This isn't a new song or a new band, but a song that makes me laugh along with the video.

I'll be posting lots soon! Wait for it! <3

Til then, enjoy!

As an Asian, I have a belief that each of us eventually goes through a very ASIAN phase. What's that? A phase in which one is devoted to anime, dramas, material things, and MUSIC! I went through that phase in high school and my first years of college. It got me through troubling times, and today, I decided to relive those wonderful moments.

I was really into dramas. Like, REALLY! I watched so many back-to-back. I was obsessed. I even wrote reviews for some of them at $3 each piece. They were crap reviews too. I kind of regret it, but hey, I got a couple bucks out of it all, so it was worth it.

Here's a MV for one of my favorite dramas, A Litre of Tears. It's a really sad drama. I cried so much. The soundtrack was really good though. The song featured is by the band, Remioromen. The song "Konayuki" was one of the main theme songs. I think "3gatsu" was the central theme. Check it out!

I'm desperately trying to remember all the lyrics to this rap so I can sing it one day, gangsta style :)

These great men are from New Zealand, if you're curious.

Because this is one of my many favorite happy songs! I love to listen to it when words aren't necessary to get me through the day.

Snow

Miike Snow. Swedish electropop band. Very new band to me, but after hearing this....

I love it. The beats, singing, and manipulation.

Enjoy!

One of the songs that I haven't heard in a long time:

Lenny Kravitz is so soulful, you know? I wonder what he's been up to lately. Enjoy!

ISBELLS! I've been kind of stressed lately, so I needed some calming music to get my head straight and this was just the medicine I needed. I think I can rest easy tonight.

They are the Isbells, and acoustic band from Belgium, I believe. Check out the rest of their music on Youtube or on their myspace page!

I'm still busy cleaning my room today, but last night, I put up some stars I stored away because my father thought them too "childish". I can't help it! What would I do with them if I didn't stick them around my room so I can gaze at them before I close my eyes for the night?

Sticking the stars and planets on the walls, this was the song that made me happy:

Florence and the Machine can do no wrong. This is "Cosmic Love".

Enjoy! And have a fantastic Sunday! It's very bright outside today.

Are you a Nickelback fan? I was until a couple years ago when I couldn't listen to one song more than once. It was tragic in some ways. I felt like all the songs were the same. There was very little variation from album to album, and I just got tired of it. Sure, I might change my mind in the future, but we'll just wait it out for now.

So why mention Nickelback? Well, the lead singer, Chad Kroeger, gave the band I'm mentioning now their start. The band is called Default. They never made it as big as Nickelback, but they do have a few notable songs that can still be heard on most rock stations. Of course, I think they're still an active band which is good to know. I seriously need to catch up with them though.

This is one of their hits that's been stuck in my head:

Unlike Nickelback, I never tire of this.

Enjoy!

My brother was home for three weeks in December, and he brought with him his obsession with dancing. Breaking dancing and hip-hop mainly, and the music that accompanies it. Although most of the music revolves around a series of beats, hip-hop, and r&b, my brother, who spent most of his days exploring Youtube videos, stumbled across this greatness:

I never expected to see hip-hoppers dancing to rock. It's nice. Lyrical hip-hop is probably this form of dance. That's all I can think of. It's incredibly awesome. It's so smooth. I think I'll attempt to learn it. :)

The song is "Maps" by the band Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Check them out. They're really good. Their latest album dropped last year, called It's Blitz! The song, "Maps" is found on their Fever to Tell album if you're curious.

I haven't seen any of the Transformer films, but I probably will eventually. So much hype, you know? How could I NOT watch it at some point? On to the music...

Linkin Park never ceases to impress. I love everything about this song. It's strong and memorable. When I'm driving home, gosh, it moves me to go beyond the speed limit. I have to catch myself...

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope all of you had an enjoyable day with family and friends and a glass of champagne accompanying some kick-ass music! Any new year's resolutions you want to share? I'm just going to try to update this as much as I can and hopefully get some people to read it because there just aren't any comments...what's the deal?

So, my first post for the new year is this:

I wish there was a music video for it because I think Florence is really a fairy in human form. Her voice is mesmerizing. I've been listening to this song nonstop. My brother would pop into my room every now and then and be like "Damn! You must really like this song" and truth is, I do! I can't help it. It's damn good!

If you like it, tell me! Florence and the Machine!
