If you haven't heard her single, "Almost Lover", I encourage you to take a listen. It's so beautiful that I cry sometimes when listening. The lyrics, the story, the way it's sung...it gets to you. The video above is "You Picked Me" and watching it, Alison Monro is truly a great live singer as she is a great songwriter. I don't think there is any song off her album that I don't like. They all have their very own special qualities that can bring out emotions. Some make me so cheerful and others make me want to cry and imagine stories that could go along with the lyrics.

"Almost Lover"

"Rangers"

I think she's really beautiful. Her hair color is envious!

They call me hell
They call me Stacey
They call me her
They call me Jane
That’s not my name
That’s not my name
That’s not my name
That’s not my name

...why the heck is it so catchy?! I love it and just had to post a blog for them because since their New Year's performance, I can't get it out of my head! Not to mention James Corden's cover of the song on Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2008. It's brilliant, by the way. Check it out!

I remember when their song "Chasing Cars" first got airplay. I loved it instantly and began looking into this Irish band that I had never heard of before. I had heard of Interpol, but never Snow Patrol. So there I was on Youtube, looking for music videos and stuff and I fell in love.

"Chasing Cars"

Some time last year, I heard this song called "Run" sung by Leona Lewis. It was so beautifully emotional. I had no idea that Snow Patrol was the original artist. I'm not sure which version I like better because they are both good in their own way, but I love how other artists are covering other developed artists. I find it incredible.
