Sia is a singer from Australia who was originally a singer in the popular group, Zero 7. Now a solo artist, Sia has established a name for herself through her artistic uniqueness and enrapturing music, not to mention her personality.
I found her music just a few days ago when I was purchasing songs on the Walmart equivalent of iTunes. Her song "Breathe Me" was a popular download, so I listened to it and was instantly intrigued by the piano melody. And then the singing...my goodness, it was beautiful. Her voice and the music worked so well together, I was near tears. Emotionally gripping, I'd say.
Moved by my first listen, I decided to search her on YouTube. There, I listened and watched her videos for "Buttons" and "Soon We'll Be Found". She's a very versitale artist. Her music can be fun, can be heartwrenching and motivational. She can pretty much do it all. And she does it with such talent and artistry. It's inspiring for any aspiring artist.
Here are some of her music videos:
"The Girl You Lost to Cocaine"
"Day Too Soon"
Labels: Sia
