I didn't even know she had a new album, so when I saw the video for her single "Blow Away", I was stunned. I'm lagging behind in my new music, people! Anyways, I'm glad I stumbled upon this. Alison is so adorable in the video. I wish I could do my hair like that. It's so classic and elegant, and her outfit! Her whole look screams adorable. Her newest album is Bomb in a Birdcage. If you haven't heard her single, "Almost Lover", I encourage you to take a listen. It's so beautiful that I cry sometimes when listening. The lyrics, the story, the way it's sung...it gets to you. The video above is "You Picked Me" and watching it, Alison Monro is truly a great live singer as she is a great songwriter. I don't think there is any song off her album that I don't like. They all have their very own special qualities that can bring out emotions. Some make me so cheerful and others make me want to cry and imagine stories that could go along with the lyrics.
