Slumdog Millionaire was the movie to see last year. Not only did it sweep the boards on Oscar night, its soundtrack won great praise. Sadly though, it seems the U.S. industry had to get its hand on the profits by making their own version of the award-winning song, "Jai Ho".

I like the Pussycat Dolls, but I think remaking the song was very unnecessary. Even though it features the writer and singer A.R. Rahman, they just shouldn't have. It's not bad, to be honest, but why do you have to make something yours when its perfect the way it is? I just see the remake as something people will be disappointed about.
