But not literally. Ok, I'm kind of embarrassed to say that I was really drawn into the Twilight madness that occurred this year. Now, don't get me wrong, I simply liked the books because it was a pretty fresh romance (but a possessive one at that). I hated how it characterized vampires in such an untraditional way, but oh well. I saw the movie and was so utterly disappointed. The only good thing that came out of the film was the soundtrack. BRILLIANTLY crafted.

Blue Foundation is a Danish electronic group. Relatively unknown in the U.S., but with the success of their debut through "Eyes On Fire", their popularity is going to increase at perhaps a global level. :)

Of course, I adore Radiohead, but "15 Step" is on their In Rainbows album, so it's a given I'll love it. Great choice of song. Paramore's "Decode" and "I Caught Myself" are also very good songs. Check it all out, peeps!

Back in high school, I would have told you that I didn't like the music of Bjork. The truth is that I never got around to listening to her. There was this craze for Coldplay, so any attempt to find something new was shun away like it didn't exist. I hated high school and I hate it now even as I look back on it. Sure, there were some pleasant moments, but I think I'm willing to forget it all.

Bjork is so inspiring. She takes you somewhere else. The mind goes through several images and it's magical. I recently got her Greatest Hits album and I'm in love. The whole album is just full of love. Bjork is a master at what she does. No wonder Thom Yorke is a fan of her. She's brilliant!

Chilling in the library, I was listening to whatever was in my iPod. Believe me when I say that I hardly pay attention to what's playing. I just put albums on there and see where it takes me during the day. So it was raining outside. No, wait, it was pouring. Sitting in one of the small couch benches, listening to the big drops of water hit the bottom of the window seal, while preparing to read New Moon, I heard it. I've loved Kings of Leon ever since last year and gosh, I feel like every year I find a band that just sticks for good, while others fade either because they can't keep me entertained or I realize their lack of amazingness. Anyways, I've had their album ever since it came out and truth be told, I've only listened to "Use Somebody" and "Sex on Fire". Today, I found my third fave: "Closer". Mm. It's good.

I'm starting to really believe that there's a lot of talent in Norway. I don't know, but I can't help but get that feeling, you know? I heard of Maria Mena a couple years ago and I loved her music. It was deep and a lot of people could relate to it. And what's a major plus is that she can sing. Her voice is calming, soothing, moving. It's fantastic, and she writes music that's perfect for her, so hooray!

Also, while I'm stating what I'm feeling, I feel like I should post much more than I do considering the fact that I haven't even posted on my favorite musicians yet!

I remember back in middle school singing "Say My Name" with my friends and shaking my booty without a care in the world what the lyrics meant or the story. Well, truth be told, I knew what the song was about as well as the other great hits that came out of Destiny's Child, but yeah, those were some fabulous days of innocence. And thank goodness the music then wasn't half as sex-filled as those of today.

So, I guess I should say that I've been following Beyonce since her Destiny's Child days, to her film debut and her solo works, and I personally think that she's great. Sometimes a stuck-up diva, but a fine singer at that. Ahaha. So her latest album came out last year and I got it. I mean, why not? 'Sasha Fierce' would make anyone curious especially when the 'it' word last year was..."fierce".

To be critical, I didn't really like "Single Ladies". It gets old fast. "If I Were A Boy" was intriguing and beautifully sung too, but that too became old. So here I am thinking "what song do I LOVE on this album" and there it was..."Halo". Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic wrote the song or that Leona Lewis was originally going to be the artist to record it, but it has me hooked. I've listened to it nonstop today and it's beautiful. The lyrics, the way Beyonce sings it, and the lightness of the music video that goes along with it make it the perfect song for the album. It's brilliant.

No seriously, skirts this season are so colorful and lovely. Too bad I don't have the legs to flaunt...anyways, Modern Skirts! A band from Athens, Georgia, I heard "Pasadena" today and instantly fell in love. I'll have to get their album to see if I'll like EVERYTHING, but yeah, enjoy.

Her music is unlike any other. Found out about her last year and she's releasing a new album this year. Hooray! She likes to play around with sounds, and her vocals are fantastic. Although her songs could be longer, they'll all really good. I think So You Think You Can Dance has boosted her fan base which I think is fantastic! That means more opportunities, after all. :)
